Browse songs grouped by worship artist, original scale/key, and tempo
View complete lyrics with inline chords perfectly aligned above lines
Switch between Tamil script and transliterated romanized titles
Transpose keys up/down semitone by semitone with zero login required

Restricted / Requires Elevated Role:

Editing existing universal public catalog songs (Strictly Super Admin only; Leaders can duplicate to customize)
Direct public publishing without moderation (Leaders submit public requests for Super Admin review)
Deleting public catalog songs (Requires Super Admin; church leaders can manage their own church-scoped songs)

Musicians and church vocalists never need to sign in to access songs or chord charts. Worship Leaders and Church Managers can duplicate any public catalog song as a private church copy to customize chords, lyrics, and Keyboard styles.

Bilingual Tamil & English Lyrics with Chord Markers

Each song entry in the database is designed specifically for contemporary church worship teams that lead bilingual services. Chords are positioned directly above the corresponding syllables or lyrical cues so instrumentalists and vocalists stay perfectly synchronized.

Tamil Typography Support

Native Tamil Unicode font rendering ensures Tamil worship lyrics are crisp and legible on all devices and stage monitors.

Tanglish Romanized Lyrics

Phonetic Tanglish transliteration allows vocalists who do not read Tamil script to sing along. Toggle between Tamil, Tanglish, or both in side-by-side Split View. Includes instant 1-click auto-transliteration when editing songs.

Original Key & Scale Cues

Every song records its original recorded scale (e.g. D Major, E Minor) as well as recommended vocal ranges, helping leaders plan seamless transitions between songs.

Artist-Based Song Grouping & Discographies

Rather than scrolling through a flat, unorganized list, songs are organized by original worship leaders, songwriters, and ministries (such as Gersson Edinbaro, Paul Dhinakaran, Don Moen, Hillsong, and traditional hymns).

Curating Church Song Chords & Lyrics

Follow these best practices when introducing new songs to the church database.

1. Navigate to Song Creation: Click the + Add Song button in the songs library (visible only to users with the Admin or Super_Admin role).

2. Enter Song Names: Provide both the English/transliterated title and the native Tamil title for dual searchability.

3. Select Artist & Default Scale: Choose the artist from the dropdown or create a new artist entry, and set the original scale (e.g. C, D, Em).

4. Chord-over-Lyrics Syntax: Enter lyrics with standard square brackets or chord notation above lines. The engine parses chords automatically for real-time transposition.

5. Direct Setlist Assignment: From any song detail page, click Add to Setlist to immediately assign the song to an active or upcoming service with debounced service search and church scoping.

6. Keyboard Style Mapping: Admins and Church Managers can link keyboard styles and transposed keys to any song (public library or private). Linked styles are scoped strictly to your church. When Super Admins view in "All Churches" scope, they are notified to select a church from the top navigation switcher so the assigned style is properly linked to that church.

7. Keyboards & Rhythm Accompaniments: Church Managers can register and organize keyboards (e.g. Yamaha PSR E423) under the Keyboards tab in the Admin console. Styles are organized under each keyboard model. When linking a style to a song, churches with multiple keyboards can select their active keyboard first to filter accompaniment styles seamlessly.

8. Presenter 2-Line Slide Customization: Under the main lyrics and chords studio editor in /songs/[id]/edit, customize and fine-tune each song's 2-line projector slides in a responsive split view with real-time projector preview, quick section tags (+Verse, +Chorus), and automated reset options. Changes persist when saving the song or via the dedicated Quick Save button.
